The Team at Lasota Architects

Adam Lasota

Principal, aia ncarb

Adam Lasota’s passion for architecture began at an early age thanks to his mother, herself an architect and designer. Through her passion, professionalism and dedication to her craft, she inspired Adam to pursue a career in architecture.  Adam’s time in the architectural world has left him with a philosophy that’s both simple and time-tested: Good design is a careful amalgamation of rigorous attention to detail, thoughtful communication and an open mind. These are the things that inspire Adam to pursue projects that both challenge and fulfill him. Adam earned an accredited B.Arch degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2012, where his heart landed him in Italy—to Rome and the beautiful medieval city of Siena—for a study abroad program. Adam is licensed in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

Elzbieta Lasota, or if you ask for her name it’s simply “Ela”, was the inspiration to start Adam’s career and ultimately Lasota Architects. Her studies began in the country of Poland where she received a Masters Degree in Architecture and Engineering along with the highest honor of being the top of her class at the Białystok University of Technology. After a successful early career she put her career on hold and immigrated to the United States to give her only child a chance at an even better life. Soon enough her passion for the craft made her return to doing what she does best, thinking creatively through architecture. Over the next 20 years she has designed hundreds (yes hundreds!) of unique projects predominantly single family homes throughout the state of New Jersey. She has taught everything she knows (along with some amazing cooking recipes) to her son Adam and continues to share her expertise in design at Lasota Architects.
